Eliza was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she graduated from Cornerstone University with a B.A. in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. Her family came to the Atlanta area following her high school graduation, and she moved to join them after college. She first interacted with classical Christian education while working as a private tutor. She developed great affection for its practices; in particular the strong academia overlaid by habit-forming and seeking to shape students as disciples of Christ. Eliza spends most of her spare time with her family: in Creation, traveling, playing tennis, learning card games, and cooking. She also loves classical ballet, gardening, and soaking up any time she can spend at Lake Michigan. Eliza attends Faith Community Church in Woodstock where she joyfully serves in various capacities and worships alongside her family.

Laura Keesee earned a B.S. in Psychology from King College in Bristol, Tennessee, a Master of Education in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, and a Certificate of Completion from Psychological Studies Institute (now Richmont Graduate University) in Atlanta. In 2019, she received training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, participating in workshops through The Dyslexia Resource, which works in partnership with The Schenck School. This training enriched her knowledge of language and strengthened her passion and ability to teach phonics and reading. Thanks to Laura, many Stonehaven staff as well as students now enjoy counting syllables using 'whale talk' and finding the accented syllable by 'calling the dog.' Laura has been teaching Kindergarten at Stonehaven since it was established in 2004. She is thankful for the privilege of partnering with parents in the education, nurture, and godly training of their children. In addition to teaching at Stonehaven, Laura has enjoyed opportunities to teach English and lead Bible studies in Japan, India, and Albania. She and her husband Scott were married in 1986 and are the parents of three adult children. They are now enjoying the journey of being grandparents! Scott and Laura are active members at Midway Presbyterian Church (PCA). When not teaching or spending time with her family, she enjoys knitting, crocheting, and reading historical fiction, mysteries, and the works of great theologians.

Anna Grace graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Education. She loves children and is passionate about helping them learn and grow in the classroom and in their knowledge of Jesus. She has taught Sunday school and VBS for a number of years, has worked as a full-time nanny for several local families, as a gymnastics coach while in high school, and as a barista for Starbucks during college. She is especially interested in helping children who may not learn the traditional way and discovering the keys that unlock ideas for them. Anna Grace currently attends Sojourn Woodstock, and in her free time she enjoys good friends, good food, concerts, and going to the beach. She has a little cat, Zara, and if you'd like to see photos, she loves sharing them.

Ashley Mayfield is a Georgia native who holds a B.S and master’s degree in early childhood education from the University of West Georgia. She has experience teaching in grades Pre-K through 3 in public and private schools. Ashley is passionate about children and loves to watch the magic of learning happen in the classroom. She believes every child is unique and deserves the best! She holds high expectations for all students. “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6. She is married to her wonderful husband Tyler. They have two beautiful daughters, Emmy and Quinley, and a golden doodle named Moose. They attend and serve at Passion City Church Cumberland. When Ashley is not teaching, you can find her spending quality time with friends and family, cheering on her favorite baseball and football teams, sewing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Julie Elrod, Stonehaven parent-turned-teacher, is so excited to be joining this wonderful school as a staff member. She has been an educator for the past 23 years. During those years she has taught music in both public and private schools, as well as second grade at a classical Christian school. For the last six years she homeschooled her two youngest children, Jesse and Lily Cate, while also running a part-time business and teaching private music lessons. Her oldest daughter, Lucy, has enjoyed being a student at Stonehaven. Julie believes in classical education and teaching in any arena has become a true joy for her. More than anything she loves shaping hearts to live for the glory of God. She is married to Luke and the entire family is very involved at Smyrna First Baptist where she has served in music, women's, and children's ministries. In her free time, she loves to bake bread, watch movies, and spend time with friends and family.

Growing up in a Christian school in Connecticut, Paris Garrett understood the importance of getting a Christ-centered education from a young age, which is why she made sure her daughter, Iris did the same. Paris started her teaching career 23 years ago after God called her to teach at a Christian School in Smyrna. She began her tenure there as a substitute teacher and went on to teach everything from Pre-K to 2nd grade, along with directing the K-4 program. Although she is now a certified instructor and a Mayor's Educator award recipient, Paris hasn't always worked in education. She held several roles within the airline industry, particularly for Delta, TWA, and Northwest before teaching. Paris has also taught VBS and led the Children’s Church ministry for her church (Smyrna Presbyterian) in the past. She attended The Ohio State University and later graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Education. When she's not in the classroom or tutoring students on the weekends, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and traveling.

Amy Gravitte, a native Georgian, earned a BA in Music Education from Shorter University, an AA in General Music from Georgia Highlands College, and an AS in Applied Science from Dalton State College. She believes that any academic skills can be better developed with the addition of music. She and her husband Tommy, of over 30 years, have seven children plus 4 grandchildren, and counting. They are active members of Milton Community Church where Amy serves in the music and youth ministries. She has years of experience teaching music and “classically” homeschooling her children. Amy has a passion to take care of widows and orphans, (James 1:27) and has had the privilege to travel to Zambia, Africa twice so far, to minister to some very special people. In their free time, the family likes to gather at their farm in North Georgia to camp, fish, swim, cook-out, and look after their cattle. Amy sees each student she is entrusted as a gift from God to nurture in his Word.

Pam Grote graduated from Wheaton College with a B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages and obtained her teaching degree from Kean University. She has taught in Christian schools in five states, beginning her career in NJ. After raising a family and homeschooling their four children, Pam returned to the classroom and has taught for over 25 years at different grade levels. Believing passionately in the classical Christian model of education, she loves teaching at Stonehaven where truth, goodness, and beauty from God's Word are incorporated into classroom studies daily. She enthusiastically wears Cambridge Gold and a funny wig whenever she can. Pam and Rich, her husband of over 40 years, are active members at Trinity Christian in Kennesaw. They rejoice in God's perfect sovereignty, and love to read good books, travel, and spend time with their nine grandchildren...always hoping for more!

A South Carolina native and College of Charleston graduate, Erin Denny is passionate about teaching her students to see God’s goodness in all subjects and find joy in learning! She chose to classically home educate her own children for seven years before coming to Stonehaven. During this time, she tutored and taught in Classical Christian Co-ops. Since 2020, she has loved working at Stonehaven and partnering with parents to raise children who know and love the Lord. She is the proud wife of Mike and blessed mother of Luke, Elle, and Charis, who all attend Stonehaven. On the weekends, you can usually find her in the woods with her family or at home, her favorite place to be, curled up with a good book or cooking in her kitchen. Her family attends Smyrna Presbyterian Church.

Dorrie McKoy, a native Atlantan, graduated from Gordon College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and has a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New England. Dorrie is also Orton-Gillingham trained and is a phonics junkie. She has taught in private Christian schools for twenty years, half of those years in Classical Christian schools. She has a deep desire to instill a lifelong love of reading good books in all her students. Sharing the world through books can open doors of wonder, empathy and understanding far greater than most adventures in day-to-day life. Dorrie has been married almost thirty years to her best friend, Herb. They have a son who is a Cobb County Firefighter/EMT. When Dorrie is not at school you will find her playing with her cats (Gordo and Cooper), reading, cooking, gardening, or taking a walk with her husband.

Lydia Green was born and raised in southern California where she was inspired to become a teacher in the third grade. Her teacher, Mrs. Stohler, made concepts easy to understand and enjoyable to learn. This is her steadfast goal in the classroom. She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Spanish and Reading at Western Carolina University. Since graduating, she has taught grades PK-8 in North Carolina, Morocco, Hawaii, Georgia, and Texas. In 2020, she discovered a love for classical education in homeschool curriculum and is thrilled to teach at a school that is both Christian and Classical. The Green family consists of Lydia, her husband, and two sons. They have returned to Marietta and are a part of Marietta Vineyard Church where they serve in whatever capacity they can; They volunteer with youth, security, nursery, and evangelism outreach. When the opportunity arises, Lydia enjoys hosting friends and family for visits and running local 10k races. A good book, science fiction show, or a game of chess are also welcome distractions from her everyday routines.

Heather Martin graduated from The University of Montevallo with a B.A. in Social Work. She worked for Glenwood Inc. in Birmingham, AL as an intensive in-home counselor for children with special needs for four years. After moving to the Atlanta area, she and her husband Blake joined The Church of the Apostles. They are heavily involved in the children’s ministry through teaching Sunday school, VBS, and in particular helping to facilitate the special needs program for the past 15 years. Heather has worked as a private teacher and tutor since 2006. She chose to classically homeschool her own children for the last decade. Outside of training up their three children, Blake and Heather love traveling to Cuba, Ecuador, and Tanzania to share the gospel and to encourage the saints. In her spare time, Heather may be found sewing, crocheting, reading, gardening, or painting.

Born and raised in sunny Southern California, James Mastrianna moved to Kennesaw from Santa Cruz, California. He has been blessed with a beautiful wife, and they have four wild and sweet children. He has spent many years in educational and ministerial positions, including as youth pastor and intern program director in the local church. Throughout his tenure, he's had the privilege of educating, discipling, and caring for many families and students. He has a B.A in History and a minor in Economics from Penn State University and a M.A in Theological Studies from Westminster Theological Seminary. James is a life-long learner at heart, with particular interest in historical studies, theology, church history, philosophy, and all things sports, especially the Dodgers. His philosophy of classical education stems from a focus on discipleship pertaining to the issues of the heart. His goal is that discipleship is more than modified behavior, and through instruction, discipline, and admonishment, he aims to cultivate virtue and godliness amidst difficult issues.
